Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

QuantChat is an AI research chat for markets. This policy explains, in plain language, what data the product handles and the choices you have. We built QuantChat to work without accounts, so it collects as little about you as it reasonably can.

No account, just an anonymous session

You don't sign up, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number, or wallet. When you first use QuantChat, your browser is given a random session identifier stored in a signed cookie. That signature lets us confirm the cookie hasn't been tampered with; it is not tied to your real-world identity. Everything you create in the product is scoped to this anonymous session.

What we store

  • Your chats and messages. Conversations you have with QuantChat are saved so your history is there when you come back. During the beta, questions and answers may also appear in our diagnostic telemetry so we can debug problems and improve answer quality. Telemetry is keyed to a pseudonymous session, not to any real-world identity.
  • Images you upload. Files you attach to a message are stored in private, owner-scoped storage so QuantChat can analyze them.
  • Basic operational data.Like most web services, our infrastructure processes standard request information (such as IP address and timing) to keep the service running, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits. We don't use it to build a profile of you.

Your uploaded images stay private

Uploaded images are private to your session. They aren't listed publicly or shared with other users. When the model needs to read one, it's served through a short-lived signed link that expires within a couple of minutes. Only your session can reference its own uploads.

How long we keep it

We keep your chats and uploads so your history works, until you delete them. On free sessions, your sidebar shows the most recent chats rather than your entire back-catalog, but nothing is removed on your behalf — you stay in control of when data is deleted.

When a chat is deleted, its messages are removed and any images attached to it are queued for permanent deletion from storage, then purged by a background cleanup process. Deletion is not reversible.

Messaging integrations

If you chat with QuantChat on Telegram once that integration goes live, we keep a short rolling window of your recent conversation so the assistant has context to answer follow-ups. Only the most recent messages are retained (currently the last 12), and conversation content is kept for up to 30 days before it expires automatically. You can wipe that context at any time by sending /forget to the bot.

Deleting your data

You can erase everything your session owns at any time. Open Settings in the chat and choose Delete my data. This permanently removes your chats, messages, uploaded images, and any saved documents tied to your session. Your session stays active so you can start fresh with a clean slate.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell your personal data, and we don't share your chats or uploads with advertisers. We rely on infrastructure providers to host the app, run our database, and store uploaded files; they process data only to provide those services to us. Your chat prompts are sent to the AI model provider that generates responses. We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and integrity of the service.

Cookies

QuantChat uses a single essential cookie to hold your anonymous session. It's an HTTP-only, same-site cookie that lasts up to about a year, required for the product to function, and isn't used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use QuantChat after a change means you accept the updated policy.
